Welcome to the website of St.Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Parish, situated in the coastal town of Deal in the County of Kent, England. The parish is part of the Archdiocese of Southwark.

The Parish has had a chequered history from the time of its first Parish Priest, St Richard of Chichester, in 1243. A glance at the history section compiled from the archives, and partly written in less ecumenical times, by people of their time, will show that not all its Parish Priests were as holy or reputable as the first was! If items for the archives were being written in these friendlier times they would naturally be written differently. However, history is history.
